Patient Participation Group
In order to improve the service we offer, we have set up a Patient Participation Group that meets every 2 months at 6.30pm at the Surgery. If you are interested in joining or would like more information please email us at

We have also set up a ‘virtual’ group to occasionally give us your view on a range of subjects relating to the Surgery. If you think you would like to join this group please email us at
We are particularly interested in including a broad spectrum of patients including young people, workers and retirees, people with long term medical conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

Wells City Practice is involved in Primary Care research. Occasionally you may be asked if you would like to take part. If you would like to know more information about how important this is visit

Health Connections Mendip is a new health and wellbeing service available to patients. Patients can talk to a health connector at the surgery to find out about local activities, support and servicesHealth Connections Mendip available, and can also arrange one-to-one appointments to speak to a Connector. During these appointments a Health Connector will listen to your health story and assist you with setting health-related goals which are meaningful to you. Care.Data   Care Data

From November 2013 NHS England will be utilising patient data from GP practices for the new service.

The aim of is to improve healthcare by increasing the availability of timely and accurate data to allow services to be better designed for patients.  Patient data will be combined with information from other care settings such as hospitals with the intention of improving healthcare overall and to aid research. We now have a mobile version of our Practice website.

If you use a smart phone such as an Apple iPhone, Google Android or Blackberry, or a Tablet computer you will probably be directed to the mobile version first.

On-line Appointments and Prescriptions   Patient Access

You can now book your next appointment or order your repeat prescription online using Patient Access.

Whether you are at home or work you can quickly log on to view, book and cancel appointments and order repeat prescriptions via the internet. Available 24 hours a day, it's especially useful when the practice is closed or telephone lines are busy.
